Information we process
Account information includes your email, display name, language preference, sign-in and session records. Connected-channel information can include platform identifiers, usernames and messages or links you explicitly send to the service.
Saved content can include links, text, captions, media and source metadata, together with generated transcripts, summaries, tags and organization data. Operational records include processing states, failures and usage needed to maintain the service.
Billing records include Polar customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status and paid-through dates. Card information is handled by Polar and its payment providers rather than stored as full card numbers by Scavi.
Why we process it
We use information to provide the service you request, authenticate accounts, connect channels, process and retrieve saved content, administer subscriptions, provide support and maintain security. We may also retain records to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Where applicable, the legal bases are performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and consent where required for optional processing.
Service providers and transfers
Our hosting and database infrastructure stores application data. OpenAI services process content required for transcription and automated analysis. Google processes Google sign-in if you choose it. Telegram and Meta services participate when you connect or submit content through those platforms. Zoho handles support email. Polar and its payment partners process purchases and billing information under their own notices.
Scavi uses pseudonymous operational and product events through PostHog to understand service reliability and usage. Browser analytics are optional and start only after you allow them. We exclude saved content, search text, emails and authentication secrets from analytics; session recording and automatic field capture are disabled. Provider processing may occur outside your country; contact us for information about the providers and applicable transfer arrangements.
Retention, security and your choices
We retain information while needed to operate your account and service, maintain security and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations. Request account deletion or information about retention by emailing hello@scavi.app. Backup copies and records subject to legal retention may remain for their applicable retention periods.
We use access controls, protected sessions and encrypted connections. No service can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit passwords, payment card details or other sensitive material that is unnecessary for the service.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where relied upon, or complain to the competent supervisory authority. We may need to verify a request without asking for unnecessary information.
Cookies and changes
Sign-in uses session cookies and Google OAuth uses a temporary state cookie. Optional PostHog browser analytics use a separate consent choice. You can decline or change your choice in Settings using Usage analytics. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. Declining browser analytics does not turn off essential operational processing.
